Asset protection is planning through legal means to minimize the chance that your individual or business assets will be depleted as a result of potential civil money judgments.
Do you need asset protection planning?
If you answer yes to any one of the following questions, you need asset protection planning:
Do you wish to maximize the amount you can leave to your beneficiaries?

Do you wish to protect your childrens' inheritance from potential creditors (including spouses)?
Are you in a profession that is subject to high malpractice claims?
